- Classes run six consecutive weeks on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Taught by a Registered Nurse. This class teaches that birth is normal, natural, and healthy. Class topics include physical and emotional changes of pregnancy and motherhood, warning signs, nutrition, labor signs and the process of labor, birth plans, pain management options, labor complications, hospital care, communication, postpartum care, newborn care, and breastfeeding. You will also learn many low intervention techniques including: breathing, relaxation, meditation, positions and partner support.

Class #2 - Labor: Stages of Labor and Birth, When to Go to the Hospital
Class #3 - Interventions: Epidurals, Inductions, C-Sections and Birth Plans
Class #4 - Coping: Relaxation, Massage, Positions, Breathing, and Labor Support
Class #5 - After Birth: Caring for Yourself and Your Baby
Class #6 - Breastfeeding: Latch and Positions, Common Concerns, Going Back to Work
