Team-Based Care

Intermountain is a leader in providing integrated, team-based care, which enables physicians to address patients’ individualized and specific needs. A major focus here is mental health integration. Cross-specialty collaboration takes place among a large, seasoned group of caregivers including:

  • Primary care providers
  • Care managers and social workers
  • Educators and other clinical specialists
  • Psychiatrists
  • PhD psychologists
  • Neuropsychologists
  • Mental health providers
  • Behavioral therapists

This collaboration offers our clinicians a comprehensive referral system, and our psychiatrists a network of consultative support and resources to achieve the best possible outcomes for their patients. Moreover, comprehensive administrative support allows our psychiatrists more time to focus on their clinical expertise and patient care (e.g. conducting evaluations, ordering tests, planning therapies, prescribing medications, etc.).
