Preparing for Resident Interviews

A number of educational and organizational elements make our Residency unique and we will outline those elements for you at the beginning of the day.

  • Your day will start at 10 a.m. Your significant other is welcome and encouraged to accompany you throughout the day or as much as he or she would like.
  • We will meet in our residency's conference room and will start with our welcome to you and an introduction to the residency program..
  • The morning will end with your first and second opportunity to interview with either residents or faculty.
  • We will have a small group of residents meet with you for half an hour so you can meet more residents.
  • The part of the day that we all enjoy most is lunch, in an informal setting where you join the residents and faculty to visit. Please let us know if you will have a significant other, so we can arrange lunch for him or her with some of our outstanding resident spouses.
  • The afternoon includes two more interviews and an end-of-day wrap-up. We should conclude around 2:30 p.m.
  • We will then offer a tour of our Family Medicine Center and Utah Valley Hospital for those who have not already rotated with us.
  • We hope you will complete your visit at dinner with some of our residents and their spouses.
  • We are happy to make complementary hotel arrangements for you.

Many resources are utilized to ensure you have a great experience with us. Please let us know as soon as possible if you are unable to come on your scheduled day.
