Over the last year, physician leadership among Intermountain hospitals has been strengthened to drive innovation, outcomes, efficiencies and clinician advocacy across our facilities while at the same time sustaining local, nimble operationalization of best practices and responsivity to individual provider needs.
Specialty-Based Care established an affinity group structure to organize physician leadership teams by hospitals of similar size and function. The four affinity groups are: Rural Hospital Affinity Group, Community Hospital Affinity Group, Tertiary Hospital Affinity Group and the Quaternary Hospital Affinity Group. Each affinity group is led and supported by a senior medical director to whom the medical directors of each hospital in the given affinity group report:
