Intermountain COVID-19 testing sites all become self-serve this week

All Intermountain COVID-19 curbside testing will finalize transitions into a self-serve model beginning Wednesday, April 14. Here’s how it works:

  • Patients will retrieve and return their own COVID-19 saliva testing vials from a secure location within each facility. During the transition, clinics will implement the new process and adjust hours as appropriate.
  • Nasopharyngeal swabs will be limited to medically necessary situations. Travel doesn’t qualify for nasopharyngeal swab testing. Saliva PCR testing has been validated by Intermountain’s Laboratory and shown to be as effective as swab testing for identifying COVID-19.
