When fully implemented, Emmi Educate will bring new benefits to both caregivers and patients.

The patient education experience in Intermountain’s Canyons Region is getting a major update, but not as quickly as anticipated. The schedule for the Wolters Kluwer “Emmi Educate” implementation in iCentra has been moved back.

Digital Technology Services (DTS) is working on a crucial upgrade and the Emmi Educate launch has been delayed until after the upgrade to ensure it’s compatible with the changes. In the meantime, DTS and physicians have been working with the Wolters Kluwer team to identify improvements to better optimize the iCentra and MyHealth+ experience overall. When fully implemented, Emmi Educate will bring new benefits to both caregivers and patients, including in-depth content presented in a variety of formats and languages, all accessible via a smarter set of digital tools.

You’ll receive more information about using Emmi Educate in the weeks prior to launch. As the new content is integrated in iCentra, it will also be shareable to MyHealth+, allowing assigned education to appear alongside a patient’s personal medical information, appointments, etc. Wolters Kluwer and select Intermountain custom content will also appear on Intermountain’s internal and external websites where it will can be a trusted resource for the community.

The Intermountain Patient Education team is available to help teams create education plans anchored in evidence-based practices and provide limited development services for custom education content materials to benefit the Intermountain system. Approved content will be available in iCentra and our external and internal Emmi Educate databases. Send requests for consultation and support to patiented@imail.org.
