Learn how to cope with the discomforts of late pregnancy and about the process of labor. How to cope with labor discomfort and common interventions in labor. As of now, we have LIVE in Person classes. If due to COVID-19 concerns this could be a live virtual course. We have printed materials to mail you through the postal system. Register online for the course at least 8 days before the course starts. You will be contacted by your instructor updating you on the status if the class. - This is a two day course to allow more time to become familiar with the information about labor and the process of birth. This class is for you and your partner and labor support individuals to acquaint you all with the labor and birth process. Relaxation, breathing patterns, comfort positions and techniques for natural labor and birth are practiced. This information is useful even if a medicated birth is planned. Please have pillows available for practice time in class(either vitual or in person). Pain medication options and common procedures such as fetal monitoring, induction of labor and warning signs in pregnancy are all discussed.
The course is from 6-9 PM on Friday and 9 AM-3PM on Saturday.
