About the Class

Getting Ready for Baby is a 6 week prenatal education series presenting all the expected and unexpected.  We encourage pregnant women and their birth support person to attend all six classes in the prenatal class series, or you may choose to attend one or some of the sessions. Make sure to register for each individual class you want to attend.

You can choose to attend in person or join in the live class via a virtual link.  A virtual link will be sent to each registrant so they can choose to come in person or participate from the comfort of their own home.

Topics covered include:

  1. Introduction, Frequently Asked Questions, Anatomy & Physiology, Discomforts, When to call
  2. Stages of Labor, Labor Support, Vaginal Deliveries
  3. Pain management options, Special equipment, Special considerations, Cesarean deliveries
  4. Tips from a physical therapist, Car seats, Postpartum, What to bring to the hospital
  5. Breastfeeding
  6. Newborn care

When registering for the classes, you only have to register ONE parent. We will consider each registration to be both parents in attendance.

Once you register, you will receive an email prior to the class providing instructions to access the virtual site.
