Baby Basics

Available In-person

This essential class prepares new parents for the first weeks at home with their new baby and offers an in-depth understanding of the fundamentals of newborn growth and development, as well as hands-on practice of basic newborn care by swaddling, diapering and burping with a doll.

Topics include:

Newborn brains and stages of development
Basic care- bathing, diapering, swaddling
Strategies to calm a crying baby
Understanding Safe Sleep guidelines
Recognizing signs of infant illness
ANY questions you might have!

Registration

Registration includes space for 2 people (birthing person + support person)

Cancellation policy

We understand that circumstances may arise that require you to cancel or change your registration. Contact us prior five (5) business days before class begins for a refund or to reschedule. No refunds or transfers will be given after this time.

Weather cancellation

In the event of a snowstorm or adverse weather, an email will be sent out notifying you regarding class cancellation and we will follow up with a rescheduled class date the following business day.

Low enrollment

Occasionally, we must cancel a class due to low enrollment and will notify you by phone or email. In these instances, we will be happy to find a new class for you or issue a full refund.
