This course is designed to teach CPR skills for victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device and a bag-mask device), use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), and relief of foreign body airway obstruction.
This class is intended for participants who work in a healthcare setting and those who are required to take a healthcare provider course for their employment. A card will be issued for all participants who successfully complete the written examination and skills demonstration for CPR and AED. This is a 3-hour class. The cost for the class is $50; cost for the book is $15.
The American Heart Association requires you have access to a book before, during and after the class. If this is your first time certifying you will need to purchase a book. Classroom copies will be provided should you forget your personal copy. It is a student's responsibility to purchase, borrow, etc. a copy for their own use before and after the class.
