Bio
Denise Allgood, DNP, received her Associate and Bachelor's degree in nursing from Weber State University. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Nursing Practice in the Family Nurse Practitioner program from Bradley University in Illinois. Denise's DNP project was to improve the screening, identification, and treatment of perinatal depression; a condition that is dear to her heart. Throughout Denise's 29 years of nursing experience, she has had the privilege of caring for every patient population in Millard County; working in acute care, ambulatory care, homecare, hospice, and long-term care. As a sixth generation resident of Holden, Denise is passionate about serving the people in this area and loves caring for all ages from newborn to elderly. She adores connecting to her patients by truly getting to know them and assisting them to optimizing their health and healthcare goals. Her professional goals are to continue to serve the people in Millard County, treating them as family and friends, improving health outcomes, and continuing to learn. When she is not busy with patients, Denise loves to spend time with her family, visit her grand-children, hike, travel, read, and shalom water-ski. She has recently taken up exploring on her mountain e-bike. Denise has a passion for health and wellness and enjoys breaking down big goals into small doable steps.
