She said we'd be part of the decision to induce, vs "this must happen". Its strongly encouraged, but the extra nod to us as agents was appreciated.

I am diabetic I am aware of the risks of my pregnancy with being diabetic. This doctor was in the room with me for maybe 20 minutes. She does not know my treatment plan I have with my endocrinologist that oversees my diabetic treatment. She asked me what my fasting glucose reading was that morning and did not go any further as to ask my average glucose reading when fasting just jumped straight to what the average pregnant woman's reading should be and that I need to meet with my doctor to get on insulin. I trust more what my endocrinologist will say than this doctor as she has been helping me to manage my diabetes for the last year and a half. This doctor also told me that I may need to have a procedure done to stop the shortening of my cervix if need be. She did not tell me of any other options, if any, or the risks of the procedure. I just feel as with a pregnancy that I am already concerned about, given my medical history, that this doctor has caused some unnecessary stress. I will be happy to recommend this facility itself to others as it was clean and the nurse, receptionist and sonographer that we worked with were so kind, caring. I however would not recommend the doctor to others.

Both the ultrasound tech and the doctor were phenomenal. The doctor actually listened to all of my concerns and addressed. She spent the time to learn a little about me and had down some research on my case. Amazing bedside manner and very knowledgeable.

Care provider answered questions, but did not give further explanations and did not treat patient as if there was any say or input to be given by the patient.
