Her time away from work is usually spent with her family and pets. She enjoys skiing, hiking, reading, crocheting, and music. She also is passionate about policy and advocacy for the women's health issues and the midwifery profession.

Dr. Black was very patient and kind. As a victim of SA I appreciated her care and concern. She spent time to make sure I was comfortable and explained everything very thoroughly. I have a fear of OBGYNs but I am very comfortable with Dr. Black and will continue to visit her and her team of nurses. I had a really good experience here.

She was very open and honest with me, especially about my insurance covering or not covering the procedure and including me on making the decision. Also explained all of my questions in a way I could understand and related to each concern to reassure me. She was really great!

Emily Hayes is fantastic. She should teach classes to the entire hospital staff on how to properly care for patients. She shows empathy, remembers her patients, and is sincere in her communication and proper treatment of her patients.

Overall my visit was good! The MA was super nice and very personable. Emily was nice and I feel like all my questions and concerns were addressed. Waiting in the lab for my blood draw was long and a little inconvenient.

I felt frustrated at first because I know my body and expressed a concern to the nurse and was heard but my request wasn't done. My midwife explained and gave more information when I told her what happened. She advocated for me and the situation. From what my midwife explained I could see she advocates for her patients which brought me comfort and I was willing to be more open about any thing else I had a question about or that may come up in the future. Thanks for taking the time to listen and explain in detail. :)

Emily Hayes is one of the best care providers I have ever worked with. I appreciate her empathy and willingness to listen to my concerns. I feel comfortable asking her questions because she always answers both professionally and kindly. She has worked with me long term to find solutions, even when they are not readily apparent.
