Dr Hansen is a wonderful doctor. He listens to you and asks good questions. He takes the time to explain everything he is doing and why he is doing it. He discusses the options for treatment and why he is recommending a certain treatment. He involves you in the conversation and considers your opinions. I highly recommend him as a primary care doctor!!

Dr Jay H. Hansen, Doctor Hansen is a whole lot more than your ordinary run of the mill MD. He goes well above any other Dr that I have visited in regards to listening to his patients, working on a plan with his patient road to recovery. I just hope Dr Hansen has no plans on moving. I feel personally that Dr Hansen is fully invested in his patients needs. Great guy!!

I thought that the doctor would have at least examined me before deciding we would just reconvene after my appointment with a neurologist.

I know it was the initial appointment but I felt rushed. The doctor stood up while I still had questions as if to say, I ready to move on now.

Dr. Hansen was a bit dismissive. He asked a series of questions to see what the issue was. Ultimately, I just wanted some labs done to see if I've been getting so sick from my medication or something else. I just wanted to rule out the possibility of it being other than my meds. At the end of the appointment Dr. Hansen seriously snapped at me like I was an unruly child or something. It was pretty bizarre. At the end I asked If he could give me a referral for a dermatologist because my husband had some spots on his back that needs to be looked at. My husband lifted his shirt real quick and he said "Hey, you guys, I don't have time. I really got to go." I really didn't think we were taking too much of his time. He was asking us questions and we were answering them. I didn't have huge concerns, so I wasn't looking for reassurance I just wanted some labs done. It totally caught me off guard and I was the first appointment of the day too. I've never been snapped at like that before. It really was out of line. I do not want to see him again. I'll be staying with the practice, but I will be seeing someone else.

Dr Hansen is simply the best! He takes his time discussing any and all issues, reviewing lab work, and concerns. I felt like it was all about me with no rushing, looking at his watch or interruptions.

Dr.Jay Hansen has done well getting me to specialist doctors, and listened to me when I didn't want to try some medicine because they cause brain fog. However it seems when I call his office I always get voice mail, and waiting for a reply, and sometimes never get a reply at all. Some concerns feel pushed aside or I have to go somewhere else or call someone else to get help on the situation.

I was anxious about meeting a new doctor especially because he was a man, but this visit showed me he was respectful, didn't do anything weird, and was a good listener. He was easy to talk to and made sure to take my problems seriously and not belittle me.
