I expected to just have a cortisone shot in my neck to fix my trouble swallowing. However, upon examining my neck, the doctor didn't think that would work. He ordered a swallow test which turned out to give me more information.

This was the first time I've had a doc a good amount of time to sit with me and explain what was going on. Dr Katz reviewed my scans with me, pointed out the issues, and explained the treatment options.

Dr. Katz was prompt, listened to my concern, examined me and explained the different options, and answered my questions. I really appreciated that he took the time to show me and explain both the procedure and the pictures of my nose and throat. I felt I received extraordinary care, and that both the doctor and his staff cared about my needs.

He proposed a cortisone shot but when I told him that I had surgery scheduled for the next day, he arranged for the nurse to fit me in after my recovery.

Dr. Katz had done research all the way back to 2000 on my ENT medical issues. He was very through, professional and courteous. The fact that he loves the outdoors as much as I do was a bonus!

Dr Katz was well-prepared for the appointment, having studied patient history and the pertinent ultrasound images. He explained everything thoroughly and candidly, and was considerate of our concerns. We feel very good about the decisions that we came to during the visit. Dr Katz Is very careful to treat supportive and empathic manner. She feels comfortable with him and we are thankful for that.
