Heather Mauro, APRN grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. She received her bachelors degree in nursing from Westminster College. She earned her master's degree of nursing at the University of Utah and has been practicing as a Nurse Practitioner in cardiology since 2006. She started out in Electrophysiology specialty for 6 years caring for patients with heart rhythm abnormalities. She has been with General Cardiology since 2012 caring for patients with congestive heart failure, myocardial infarctions, valvular heart disease and heart rhythm disturbances.
Prior to her career as a Nurse Practitioner, Heather worked as a nurse on a cardiac recovery unit, coronary intensive care unit and ER at LDS Hospital for 10 years.
She enjoys caring for and managing her patients with complex disease and is committed to educating them on current treatment options.
Heather enjoys the outdoor lifestyle Utah has to offer. She is an avid mountain biker, skier and traveler.
