Dr. Shapiro listened to me about not only my surgery complications but listened to me when I was expressing frustration, being overwhelmed, and needing help with my mental health. She and I talked and she listened to every word I said. She messaged my GP and now hopefully I can get some of the frustrations I am having dealt with. My appointment could have ended after my exam and the decision for the next step in my recovery from my surgery, but she stayed and listened to me and helped me.

I was referred to Dr Shapiro after a surgical hernia suddenly worsened. She listened to my symptoms, then explained carefully and clearly what she found during her exam along with reasons for her recommendations. She explained my CT scan so I could understand what I was seeing. She plans to discuss her recommendations with my medical team before a surgery will be scheduled. I feel confident in the care she is taking for my specific condtion.

Dr Shapiro was/ is a conscientious listener who listened to and answered all my questions. She explained the full process, the pros and cons of having the surgery and the pros and cons of delaying the surgery if I so chose. She was patient and professional. She didn't rush through the appt. One of the best medical doctors I've visited in the last few years! (I've visited a lot with family members.)

Dr. Shapiro surpassed my expectations. I had the same in-office surgery in 2005 with a different physician. In comparison, Dr. Shapiro was more attentive, comforting, showed appropriate confidence. This procedure was very comfortable and bearable, whereas years ago that other doctor caused much pain. I was exceedingly satisfied with Dr. Shapiro's performance.

She was cruel and lacking in compassion. She physically hurt me and then yelled at me for expressing my pain. Admonished me for my life choices and was insensitive to my feelings.
