Practice Focus

  • At Memorial Clinic, our pediatric sports medicine team is passionate about helping kids and teens of all abilities heal after an injury so they can get back outside and continue exploring. Given their constant growth and development, children and adolescents have unique medical considerations and are not merely small adults. Since their bodies are undergoing constant change, the conditions and injury patterns that affect their muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones, and joints are often quite different from the conditions that affect older patients. Our program offers complete medical care to the active patient, from attention to musculoskeletal injures and holistic recovery, to consultations regarding nutrition and health maintenance. We believe in working closely with the family to create a comprehensive rehabilitation plan for a safe return to sport and play.

Bio

  • Physical activity has been a part of my entire life. As a child, I was an abysmal ballerina and a busy participant in local community leagues playing softball, basketball, soccer, and volleyball. I always loved being active and sport became a part of my life. To this day, I am passionate about getting outside and exploring this beautiful state and everything it has to offer. Whether it be hiking, biking, paddle boarding, kayaking, cross country skiing, or walking my lovable lab, I feel the best days are when you're covered in some dirt. When I'm not at work or eating a peanut butter and banana sandwich on a mountain top, I am probably doing any number of hobbies with family and friends including cooking delicious veggie dishes, baking, attempting to learn Spanish, reading, or plotting my next travel adventure.
