Jamie was born and raised in Minnesota. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota-Duluth in 2008 and then her love for the mountains brought her out west. She worked in primary care as a medical assistant and discovered a passion for family medicine, and prompted her to become a physician assistant. She attended the University of Utah Physician Assistant Program and graduated in 2019. She is certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Jamie enjoys spending time with her patients and really getting to know them. She chose to work in family medicine because she enjoys the continuity of care, building patient relationships and the diversity of the patient population. Her love for travel and connecting with other people encouraged her to spend a month in Nepal during her training to provide care to rural, underserved communities. Her interests include, but are not limited to: women?s health, behavioral health, cardiology, and orthopedics. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her spouse and dog, cycling, yoga, skiing, hiking, and gardening.
