            I was referred to him as I was requiring surgery. However, after he reviewed my file he knew (before the appointment) that the operation could not be done at the [...] location. But rather than informing me and kicking it up north where he needed it to go, I had to go in and see him. Where he repeatedly informed me over and over why he could't do the surgery. I got it, and accepted it, just never explained why my time was wasted, now I'm 4 more weeks out to see the surgeon who can do the surgery. Not only did I take off work for this visit so did my husband, but rather than referring me, I waited two weeks for this "non-productive" appointment, but add 3 more weeks of waiting for answers to my situation. Then he proceeded to try and get me scheduled for an "optional" procedure, that I chose not to do at this time.

            Dr. Gilbert is great. He takes time to listen and explain things. I would highly recommend him. Worth the 2 hour drive to see him. He has great access.

            I really appreciated how concerned Dr. Gilbert was for my knowledge or what was going on & treatment in the future. He was able to explain things more thoroughly than pictures & diagnosis did! I have already recommended Dr. Gilbert to several friends & family.

            Dr. Gilbert took plenty of time to answer my questions and make sure that I understood the plan of care. I appreciate that he listens and is very compassionate. He also is encouraging and wants to see me succeed.
