Dr Peugh explained my hiatal hernia surgery in detail prior to my operation, explained the benefits and risks, taught me about the need for following a liquid diet post op. The postoperative results have been very positive. I have no more GERD symptoms, I have stopped all my reflux meds and I am very satisfied with the outcome so far. Dr. Peugh emphasized the importance of following a liquid diet and chewing my soft foods extremely well so as to not undo the effects of the surgery. Thank you Dr. Peugh!!

Dr. Peugh was very thorough in describing my upcoming surgery. He described in detail what would happen, overall success rates for this procedure and possible complications. He assured me that he has been preforming this operation for over 30 years and has only had to open up a patient 3 times over that time period. He said the surgery would last between 1-1.5 hours and that this would be an out patient procedure. Liquid diet for 6 weeks and then slowly reintroduce solids as tolerated. Hiatal surgery repair should stop symptoms of Gerd and over all success rate high.

I didn't have any personal problems with him; he just has incredibly poor bedside manner.

Only time she got scared is when they moved the bed up without warning and when they unlocked the bed without warning her. They listened to me as mom very well as far as her needs and getting scared about the oxygen mask. They gave her a med to relax her before leaving the room.
