- Due to the current state of COVID-19 and in accordance with Intermountain Healthcare's meeting and        conference guidelines in attempts to do our part to stop the spread of the virus, all in person, Intermountain Healthcare accredited education, will be postponed until June 2020. Please contact the course director or the IPCE office with questions. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause; however, we are committed to Intermountain's mission of helping people live the healthiest lives possible, and desire to do our part in minimizing large group gatherings to aid in less community spread. IPCE will continue to monitor Intermountain Healthcare's meeting guidelines and inform of any changes via this website. If you have already registered for an event and COVID-19 necessitates the cancelling of the event, 100% of registration fees will be refunded.

- IPCE is also committed to supporting the organization of Intermountain Healthcare as a whole during this time. To ensure that all organizational communications are aligned with pertitient COVID-19 updates and information, IPCE will be suspending the majority of our communications at this time. This means that information about courses and communications about enrollment opportunities, etc, will be delayed until further notice. IPCE still plans on holding our scheduled fall courses, unless we are informed otherwise, but communications about such courses will be released at later dates. Thank you for your understanding.

- Please note, the Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing (DOPL), released this statement about required continuing education on March 24, 2020:

"With the increasing public awareness of COVID-19, DOPL team members have received a number of questions regarding continuing education requirements for licensed professionals. Specifically, individuals are concerned about "live" elements of CE requirements, such as a mandate that all or a portion of CE hours be achieved by personal attendance at a seminar. In order to support Utah's efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19 through social distancing, I approve the temporary waiver of"live" CE requirements for those with DOPL license expiration dates between now and June 17, 2020. In other words, online CE may be accrued instead of live CE for purposes of license renewal consideration for a renewal date occurring before June 17, 2020. This waiver is permissive. Those who currently have live CE scheduled are free to participate in it, though DOPL encourages licensees and providers of CE to adhere to social distancing recommendations found at coronavirus.utah.gov or cdc.gov/coronavirus. Hopefully this action, among the thousands undertaken during the past week by public and private entities across the state will decrease the prevalence of community COVID-19 spread. Thank you for your cooperation, as well as your dedicated service to the citizens of Utah."
