The Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Core Curriculum Review, September 7-10, is for new surgeons taking their boards for the first time and for practicing surgeons looking to re-certify. It helps prepare participants for the American Board of Thoracic Surgery certification examination.
Eighty-three subjects are reviewed in rapid fire, concise lectures supplemented by visual projections and an interactive learning platform with mock test questions over the course of 3 ½ days. A mock oral exam and wet-labs are also offered. The review course is held every September in Utah at Intermountain Medical Center in the Salt Lake Valley.
The review course is valuable for surgeons looking to certify for their first time or for experienced surgeons looking to review before re-certifying.
