The Advanced Disaster Life Support™ (ADLS®) course is an intensive two day course that allows participants to demonstrate competencies in surge capacity management, personal protection and decontamination.

The course is designed to prepare health professionals for catastrophic events that can seriously impact the ability of the public and private health response systems to meet the needs of all affected populations ADLS is an operations-level course. It applies clinical and populated based principles and practices to the management of mass casualty events. Students and faculty participate in interactive sessions where participants assess and treat injuries and illnesses in simulated disaster scenarios.

Training is focused on the development of hands-on skills to allow participants to apply the knowledge learned in the Basic™ and Core® Disaster Life Support courses.

This class will be held on Thursday and Friday, November 21-22, 2013, at the ICDP, 3rd floor, LDS Hospital from 8 AM to 5 PM.

NOTE: Attendees must complete the Basic Disaster Life Support class before they are able to take this class.
