Chill with Cool Foods


Sometimes you just want to eat something cool and refreshing, like cold soups, crisp crunchy salads, grilled chicken or fish, and icy-cold popsicles! Not only do these types of foods taste great and cool you off, especially on hot summer days, but you may find that your body actually appreciates lighter food it's healthful and incredibly delicious.

Chill out with cold versions of foods you usually eat hot:

  • Instead of scrambled eggs for breakfast, grab one that's hard-boiled to eat with wheat toast and a piece of fruit.
  • Instead of a cup of ho?t soup, try spicy gazpacho, smooth cucumber or even sweet raspberry soup.
  • Instead of pizza or spaghetti, choose a pita-bread or wrap stuffed with crisp, crunchy vegetables, sprouts and a bit of tangy salad dressing.
  • Instead of cake or cookies, choose a juice pop, a slice of watermelon or a cup of lemon sorbet.
