HCAHPS Star Ratings
Patients provide feedback about their hospital experience as part of the nationally standardized Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey developed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). CMS publishes star ratings based on the HCAHPS survey responses to make it easier for consumers to compare hospitals and spotlight excellence in healthcare quality. Star ratings are updated every three months on the Hospital Compare website.
Please note: When the minimum requirement of interviews to reliably assess hospital performance has not been met for the CMS reporting period, data may not be available.
