Personal Bio & Interests

I am from Cache Valley. My husband and I left for about 14 years for school and work. We always wanted to come back the valley and were so happy when we could make that happen. I love women's health so much. My specific areas of interest in women's health are pregnancy, birth; especially natural/informed birth, first time mothers, returning mothers, mental; including perinatal mood disorders, & breast feeding. I love the relationship that I get to make with women and their families over years of helping them. I love including siblings and husbands, when desired by the mother in office and on labor and delivery, as birth is a family affair. I believe that our minds, bodies, and spirits are all connected and affect each other, so caring for an entire individual will get greater results than focusing on physicality alone. I believe health begins with movement, nutrition, sleep hygiene, healthy relationships, and I really try to incorporate healthy lifestyle changes and improve thought work in addition to treating the physical symptoms that a patient presents with. I believe that preventing disease is far betting that treating disease. I also believe that food can be medicine if we are informed and disciplined. I love what I do and hope women will continue to allow me the great privilege of helping them reach their goals for years to come. I am passionate about including women in their care by educating them about all of their options, discussing risks and benefits, and allowing them to guide their care. I am merely assisting them as they do all the hard work. I want women to be proud of what their bodies are capable of, and know that if dysfunction or imbalances arise in their body that I will do everything to help them restore balance and function. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my husband and 3 kids. I love exercise, hiking, tending to flowers/plants, reading, taking baths, playing card games and traveling. I love learning about personality traits, birth orders, and energy work. I enjoy meeting new people and having new experiences. I live for summer concerts and live music. I could talk about my kids all day, they are a breath of fresh air and are my reason for everything I do. My husband is my high-school sweetheart, my BEST friend, and knows me better than anyone. He is very supportive of my passions and dreams. He is my favorite person to spend time with.
