Dr. Wood was born and raised in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and went on to complete her medical degree at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency at the University of Utah in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year of training. Dr. Wood is board certified in Family Medicine.
During her medical training, Dr. Wood developed a love for acting as a primary care provider for patients of all ages and especially loves caring for whole families. She has a passion for women’s health and maternal-child health. She focuses on providing evidence-based, comprehensive and team-based care to offer patients individualized healthcare options. She also loves preventive medicine and working with patients on healthy lifestyles.
In her free time, Dr. Wood enjoys skiing, camping, reading, traveling, cooking and adventuring with her husband and daughters.
