Our Research 

Our research and focus on improving patient outcomes has led to:

  • Discovering a cure for the hepatitis C virus (HCV) as a leading research site 
  • Transplanting the nation's first hepatitis C positive liver into a hepatitis C negative patient
  • Performing the Intermountain West's first combined heart-liver transplant in an adult 
  • Establishing the first living donor liver transplantation program in the Intermountain West
