Inpatient Rehab – Marjorie's Story

Recovering from an accident can be an emotional and difficult time for the victim and the family. The nurses and physical therapists in the rehabilitation unit work with the patients as well as the families to bring them back to where they were before the accident. Therapists work one-on-one with patients, and continue working with the same patient during the duration of their recovery, treating patients and the whole extended family to help heal and recover.

Inpatient Rehab – Logan’s Story

Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis (ADEM) is similar in a way to multiple sclerosis. Prior to treatment, patients may became paralyze from the chest down or even comatose. Once a patient who has developed ADEM is admitted to the hospital, doctors and nurses immediately evaluate and test the patient and create a plan for treatment. Nurses and physical therapists work hard to rehabilitate patients to ensure they can recover properly and continue living a normal life.
