Personal Bio & Interests

Dr. Ashton Plott was born and raised in Palm Springs, California. Throughout her young life, she had many experiences that lead her into Nursing. She had spent the first 8 years of her nursing career caring for critically ill patients in the ICU. During this time Dr. Plott received many awards, recognitions and certifications. The certification in which she was most proud of is the Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification, a difficult certification given by the American Association of Critical Care. When she later moved to Utah she used her skills, critical thinking and experience to help patients recover from surgery in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). In 2017, Dr. Plott entered into a doctorate program at the University of Utah. After three years, she graduated and became a board certified Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP). She has been delighted to join the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Team at Mckay-Dee Hospital. She brings over 10 years of patient care, skills and experience to this team. Dr. Plott has completed a course through Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society so that she can be qualified to deliver competent care for patients seeking treatment in hyperbarics. Dr. Plott and her husband moved to Utah seven years ago. They have 4 children and she enjoys baking, boating, traveling and going to the beach.
