Dr. Joshua Stern joins Intermountain as the Chief of Urology at Park City Hospital. He was formally the director of Endourology and the Kidney stone program at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, where he developed an integrated, high volume kidney stone center that focused on innovative approaches to endoscopic kidney stone surgery. With grant support from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Dr. Stern was one of the first to report on the interplay between the gut microbiome and kidney stones. Dr. Stern is a fellowship trained, board-certified urologist specializing in the treatment of complex kidney stones and kidney tumors. He also has expertise in a wide breadth of urology including BPH, prostate cancer and voiding concerns.

Dr. Stern is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. He obtained his medical degree from The Weill Cornell Medical College and completed his residency in urology from the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Stern is also a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Minimally Invasive Robotic Urology Fellowship. He is currently a member of the American Urological Association, The ROCK society and the Endourology society.
