Dr. David DeMill was born and raised in Salt Lake City and received both his B.A. and M.D. from the University of Utah, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Michigan and finished his training by completing a cornea, external disease and refractive surgery fellowship with world-renowned surgeon Dr. Mark Terry at the Devers Eye Institute in Portland, Oregon. He was in private practice for two years before joining Intermountain.
David DeMill is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist who strives to provide exceptional eye care to all of his patients. He prides himself on treating his patients like family. He sees patients for routine eye exams, diabetic eye exams, dry eyes, pterygium, keratoconus, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. He also specializes in cornea (DMEK, DSAEK, PKP) and cataract surgery.
Dr. DeMill enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. He also enjoys racquetball, tennis, golfing, biking, and skiing (water and snow). He is an accomplished musician and has played the saxophone and clarinet in a variety of professional venues. He also speaks fluent Spanish.
Dr. DeMill provides healthy eye and vision care including glasses and contact lenses, and offers specialized diagnosis and treatment for a variety of eye disorders. He is experienced in cataract surgery, as well as treating glaucoma, corneal diseases, and retinal problems like macular degeneration.
