Emergency Department Construction Updates

Patients or family visiting the Emergency Department at Sevier Valley Hospital will need to use the tunnel entrance off of 1000 N., and follow the signage in the hospital to the Emergency Department. Both those going to the Emergency Department, as well as same-day-surgery patients, are asked to park on the south side of the building.

About the Emergency Department Expansion

The Emergency Department expansion project is in conjunction with the new Women and Newborns Center – both which are estimated to be completed in Summer 2017. The new Emergency Department will be expanded to more than 8,300 square feet. This will allow for:

  • Better, faster access to critically needed care.
  • More efficient work areas for physicians and staff.
  • Space for confidential registration and triage.
  • Larger private rooms to increase privacy for the patients and their families. The larger rooms will also accommodate life-saving equipment, and allow space for multiple physicians and staff to be at the bedside simultaneously.
