Practice Focus
Mental Health Integration (MHI) is an approach at Intermountain Healthcare that treats the whole person within primary care. Mental health services are guided and provided for by your established Primary Care Physician and supported by MHI professionals working within the same clinic. The clinic team communicates with each other to make sure you?re getting the care you need. If your treatment plan indicates that it would be beneficial for you to participate in psychotherapy and/or psychiatric medication management with the MHI provider assigned to your primary care clinic, your Primary Care Provider can place a referral to initiate that service.
