Utah Valley Hospital (formerly Utah Valley Regional Medical Center) serves one of the youngest populations in the United States. To help meet the needs of our youthful patient population, we’ve partnered with Primary Children’s Hospital to offer the best pediatric care for patients and their families, close to home. This partnership is known as the Utah Valley Hospital Primary Children's Network.

Pediatric Specialists on Staff

As part of the Primary Children’s Hospital Network, we have several pediatric specialists on staff, allowing us to treat the majority of children’s health conditions on site. These include pediatric specialists in:

  • Anesthesiology
  • Cardiology
  • Ear, Nose and Throat
  • Gastroenterology
  • Infectious Disease
  • Neurology
  • Orthopedics
  • Pediatric hospitalists (physicians who work at the hospital and only treat hospital patients)
  • Psychiatry
  • Radiology
  • Surgery

The Primary Children's Network

Pediatric hospitalists and nurses who work closely with Primary Children’s Hospital are on staff 24 hours a day, seven days a week to ensure we can meet the needs of pediatric patients at any time.

Although some network services, like cancer treatment or organ transplant services, will only be available at Primary Children's Hospital, the close collaboration among network hospitals means patients who do need to be transferred should experience a relatively seamless transition. In fact, many of our Utah Valley Hospital providers are on staff at Primary Children’s Hospital and see patients in Salt Lake and in Utah Valley.
