Jeff Sanders Named Operating Officer at Intermountain Medical Center

Murray, Utah - Jeff Sanders has been selected as a new operating officer at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray where he'll oversee cardiovascular services, imaging services, sleep services, hyperbaric medicine, dialysis, and medical research.

Sanders has been at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden for the past six years where he has been in charge of a number of programs including surgery, critical care, rehabilitation, laboratory services, information systems, and behavioral medicine. Sanders also has played a key role in Intermountain Healthcare's partnership with GE Healthcare and has led numerous projects to help McKay-Dee and the Urban North Region improve their services and strengthen their physician partnerships.

"Jeff is a skilled leader and a terrific guy and we're thrilled to get him on our team," says David Grauer, Intermountain Medical Center's administrator. "He has an excellent understanding of how Intermountain Healthcare works and a very strong background as a healthcare strategist. He brings a lot of insight and energy to our administrative team."

Sanders joined Intermountain as a postgraduate administrative fellow in 2001. Prior to that he worked as a manager for PricewaterhouseCoopers, a national healthcare consulting group, and in Washington, DC, as a legislative analyst for the Association of American Medical Colleges and as a legislative assistant to U.S. Senator George Mitchell. He holds a master's degree in healthcare administration from the University of North Carolina and a bachelor's degree in political science from Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire.
