Dr. Saul and Dr. Otrusinik at Cache Valley Heart Clinic

We are pleased to welcome Cache Valley Heart Clinic practitioners Rudolph Otrusinik, MD and William Saul, MD to the Intermountain Medical Group.

Dr. Otrusinik has practiced in Logan alongside Dr. Saul since 1996. Dr. Otrusinik earned his medical degree in his home country of Slovakia and completed Pulmonary Medicine residency training at Comenius University in the city of Bratislava. Immigrating to the U.S. in 1991, he completed another residency at the University of South Alabama Medical Center before entering private practice in Jasper, Alabama. In 1996, Dr. Otrusinik completed a cardiology fellowship at the University of South Alabama. He is board certified in internal medicine with a sub-specialty in cardiovascular disease.

Dr. Saul has practiced cardiology at the clinic for the past eighteen years. A staff member at Logan Regional Hospital, he also serves as co-director of the hospital’s cardiology department. Dr. Saul earned his medical degree at the University of California in San Francisco and completed an internship at Oakland Naval Hospital. For several years thereafter, he was a flight surgeon and general practitioner at Naval Air Stations in Florida, Maine, Illinois, and Okinawa, Japan. In 1983, Dr. Saul entered a residency at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Virginia, where he was elected chief resident and briefly visited Panama to study tropical diseases. He later returned to Japan for several years before completing a fellowship with the Heart & Vascular Institute at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Saul is board certified in internal medicine and is qualified to practice nuclear cardiology.
