Introducing Martha Trunnell, RN, PA-C

The South Sandy Clinic is pleased to welcome Marti Trunnell, a Registered Nurse and board-certified Physician Assistant. Marti comes to the clinic from Riverton Family Health Center, where she provided urgent care and comprehensive family healthcare to patients of all ages.

Marti pursued her nursing Associate’s degree from San Jacinto College in Pasadena, Texas, graduating as President of her class. She later completed her Physician Assistant Diploma and Certificate at the University of Utah.

In the course of her career, Marti has worked across the country in settings including emergency occupational medicine, home care, private family practice, student healthcare, and inpatient surgical care. In addition, she recently worked as a psychiatry prescriber at Salt Lake Valley Mental Health in Midvale.

Marti belongs to the American Academy of Physician Assistants and currently serves on Utah’s State Continuing Education Committee. She has previously served as President of the Utah Academy of Physician Assistants, and in 1996, she was elected Utah State Physician Assistant of the Year.

Marti is the mother of three successful artists and enjoys skiing, hiking, making fabric creations, writing, and planting flowers.
