Carlos Guerra, MD

The Medical Tower Family Practice is pleased to welcome Dr. Carlos Guerra, MD to their practice. Dr. Guerra attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas and completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Utah in 1997. 

He has spent the last 14 years practicing medicine in downtown Salt Lake City. At his previous practice, he cared for underserved patients including uninsured and Spanish-speakers. He is experienced in all aspects of family medicine, providing care to all ages, from newborns to the elderly. He has served as volunteer faculty at the University of Utah, supervising resident physicians and medical and physician assistant students. 

Dr. Guerra has a particular interest in young families, women’s and children’s care and the local Latino population. He also has an interest in chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, and hypercholesterolemia.
