Chief Development Officer named for Intermountain Healthcare

David Flood has been named chief development officer for Intermountain Healthcare. Flood was previously the president of Meridian Health Affiliated Foundations in New Jersey. 


Flood will provide leadership for all philanthropic programs conducted at Intermountain. He will oversee the Intermountain Healthcare Foundation in conjunction with the foundation's volunteer Board of Trustees and coordinate with other hospital foundations and boards in the Intermountain system. Intermountain foundations support fundraising and giving opportunities to improve services for patients and the communities they serve.  

At Meridian Health, Flood led a comprehensive healthcare and academic fundraising network comprised of six foundations, while overseeing all annual, major gift, corporate foundation, and public fundraising programs. Prior to this, he was the president of the Somerset Medical Center Foundation, and has held leadership positions with New Jersey Institute of Technology, Seton Hall Preparatory School, and Seton Hall University. Flood was born and raised in South Orange, N.J., and received Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from Seton Hall University. He is the chair-elect of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy.
