LDS Hospital administrator Named to List of 100 Leaders of Great Hospitals in America

SALT LAKE CITY, UT – Jim Sheets, chief executive officer and administrator of LDS Hospital, was named as one of "100 Leaders of Great Hospitals in America" by Becker’s Hospital Review, a publication that provides business news, analysis, and legal guidance to hospitals and the healthcare industry.

LDS Hospital has been named to Becker’s list of 100 Great Hospitals in America, and to their list of 100 Hospitals with Great Women’s Health Programs in the past year. LDS Hospital has also been ranked on U.S. News & World Report's annual list of the top hospitals in America for excellence in gynecology, cancer, urology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, and pulmonary care.

“I’m honored to be named as a leader of a top hospital,” says Sheets. “But the real credit goes to the people who make LDS Hospital a great place to receive care and to work. Our physicians, caregivers, and everyone who contributes to the patient experience are the real heroes.”

Before joining Intermountain Healthcare, Sheets served as vice president of professional services at Enloe Medical Center in California, and before that was director of operations and director of business development at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Arizona. He started his career as an administrative fellow at Catholic Healthcare West in California. He began his career with LDS Hospital in 2007 as an operations officer and took over as administrator in 2011.

Sheets holds a bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Utah and master’s degrees in business administration and healthcare administration from the University of Minnesota.
