Salt Lake City — The Gallup Organization has again chosen Intermountain Healthcare as one of 32 companies world-wide, and the only organization in Utah, to earn the Gallup Great Workplace Award for 2013.
The Gallup Great Workplace Award is based on overall engagement levels and evidence of a highly-engaged workforce's impact on key business metrics. Gallup compares applicants' results across its research database composed of millions of work teams in more than 100 countries. The award acknowledges the best-performing workforces in the world and the organizations' ability to create an engaged culture.
"Our employees are committed, engaged, and focused on delivering high-quality care to our patients," says Dan Zuhlke, Intermountain's vice president of Human Resources. "The Gallup Great Workplace Award recognizes this commitment, which directly benefits the patients, families, and communities we serve."
Of the Gallup award winners, 38 percent are healthcare organizations. Intermountain is a three-time winner of this award, along with three other organizations this year. During the recent awards ceremony, Intermountain shared the best practices they applied to their workplaces.
