Welcome Christopher Shale, MD

Dr. Christopher Shale graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nuclear Engineering. After earning his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Dr. Shale completed a surgical internship at Naval Medical Center San Diego.  As a physician in the US Navy Medical Corps, Dr. Shale had the honor of serving with the Marines of Heavy Marine Helicopter Squadron 463 as their flight surgeon for deployments to Southeast Asia and Iraq.  He was awarded a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and an Air Medal for combat flights in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  Dr. Shale returned to his surgical training, completing his general and plastic surgery training at Texas A+M, Scott & White Hospital.  Dr. Shale, his wife, Maggie, and their three daughters are thrilled to be joining the Intermountain Healthcare family and serve the community of Northern Utah.
