Dixie Regional and Valley View named five-star hospitals by Cleverley + Associates

Dixie Regional and Valley View medical centers have been named five-star hospitals by Cleverley + Associates. The research firm conducts an annual evaluation of the U.S. hospital industry to provide a measure of the value that a hospital provides to its community.

The evaluation measures financial viability, facility reinvestments, maintenance of a low cost structure and high-quality patient care at reasonable prices. Nationwide, the group of hospitals that scored in the top 20 percentile among these performance areas received the five-star designation. In addition to Dixie and Valley View, other Intermountain Healthcare hospitals receiving this recognition include Alta View, American Fork, LDS, Logan Regional, McKay-Dee, Sevier Valley and Utah Valley. The only other Utah hospital to receive this designation was Davis Hospital.

“The credit belongs to the excellent work of our physicians and employees,” says Terri Kane, Vice President of the Southwest Region. “Our local hospitals have been honored this past year with several national designations that recognize our clinical quality, including Truven Analytics national list of 50 Top Hospitals for Cardiovascular Care, American Heart Association/American Stroke Association ‘Get with the Guidelines’ awards, and honors from Women’s Certified. This recognition from Cleverley + Associates also acknowledges that patients in southern Utah receive high quality care at a comparatively low cost.”
