Free Alta View Hospital Seminar to Focus on Brain Health

Lost keys, forgotten names and momentary confusion. Are these the signs of normal aging or the early onset of dementia?

Alta View Hospital is sponsoring a free community seminar on brain health at 6 pm on Wednesday, August 28th that will answer some of those questions.

Family nurse practitioner Renee Holleran, PhD, and licensed clinical social worker Holly Peterson, LCSW, will present information about the signs and symptoms of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, as well as the simple forgetfulness that happens as we age.

They will review exercises and activities that people can adopt to help them maintain a healthier brain. They will also discuss programs and treatment options available for those experiencing dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

The seminar will be held in the main classroom at the Sandy Senior Center, 9310 South 1300 East, just north of Alta View Hospital. Enter through the main doors.

Registration for the seminar is not necessary. Light refreshments will be served. For more information, please call Alta View Hospital at 801-501-2795.
