Join hospital in celebrating 75 years of service to Utah Valley

Healthcare in Utah County changed forever in 1939 when Utah Valley Hospital opened its doors. Now 75 years later, Utah Valley Regional Medical Center wants everyone to help mark this historic anniversary.

“Over the years, our buildings may have changed, but our mission to provide extraordinary care to our patients and their families has remained the same,” said Steve Smoot, Utah Valley Regional administrator. “The community came together to create this hospital and we hope they’ll come together again to celebrate.”

An official event is planned for October 11; however, the celebration is now underway. Below is a list of ways residents can support the festivities:

•    Strive for 75 Challenge: Make a commitment involving 75 or 7.5 that will help improve one area of your life. Ideas include drinking 7.5 glasses of water a day, doing 75 pushups each day, saving $75 per paycheck or running 7.5 miles by a certain date. Post the goal you will achieve by October 11 by logging onto http://bit.ly/StriveFor75. Everyone who posts a commitment will have a chance to win a $75 gift card that will be given away every two weeks until October 11.
