She also excelled in clinical diabetology, with a particular interest in the utilization of technology to manage type 1 diabetes. She has given talks about the use of insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring in diabetes management for the American Association of Diabetes Educators, as well as the Utah Diabetes Prevention and Control Program. In addition, Dr. Miller serves as the Research Informational Volunteer on the board of directors for the Utah chapter of JDRF.

Dr. Miller’s professional interests stem from her own experience with type 1 diabetes, diagnosed herself as a child. She grew up in Buffalo, Wyoming and received her undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Food Sciences from the University of Wyoming. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, hiking and most outdoor activities with her husband and two children.
