Forbes Names Intermountain One of the Nation's Top Employers

Salt Lake City, Utah – Forbes magazine has named Utah’s Intermountain Healthcare as one of the nation’s top 25 employers, ranked above companies such as Apple and the Mayo Clinic.

The full list ranks 500 employers across 25 industries and is based on a survey of 20,000 American workers at large U.S. companies, not-for-profit institutions, government agencies, and U.S. divisions of multinationals. The survey, which was conducted on companies employing more than 2,500 workers in the United States, asked employees how likely would they would be to recommend their employer, or another employer in their industry, to someone else.

Intermountain was ranked the highest of all employers in Utah at 25th in the nation.  The University of Utah was the next highest Utah employer at 36th, with the next Utah company, Vivint, ranked 315. Among health organizations, Intermountain was the ranked third highest in the nation.
