Intermountain Again Named a Best Place to Work in I.T.

Salt Lake City -- Intermountain Healthcare has once again been selected by Computerworld magazine as one of the nation’s top places in the nation for information technology professionals to work. The honor is part of the publication’s “2015 Best Places to Work in IT” list, which recognizes 100 employers from across the country that “consistently seek out and hire the most talented IT people, offer them competitive pay, and provide great benefits.”

Intermountain is widely recognized for its advanced clinical computer systems, which help identify best practices to improve clinical quality, keep costs lower, and reduce medical errors. In highlighting Intermountain as one of the best places to work, Computerworld mentioned the culture of innovation within the I.S. function and spotlighted processes to turn ideas into transformative solutions.

Computerworld’s 22nd annual national list is based on responses to an extensive questionnaire about company benefits, diversity, career development, training, and retention, and an online survey of each nominated company’s information technology staff. Intermountain was previously included on the list five straight years from 2008 to 2012, and is one of only a two Utah-based organizations to be included on the list. The other is CHG Healthcare Services.

“The 100 organizations on Computerworld’s 2015 Best Places to Work in IT list realize that attracting and retaining a highly-skilled technology workforce leads to competitive advantage,” says Scot Finnie, editor in chief of Computerworld. “In a tight market for tech talent, these outstanding employers attract the best and brightest IT pros with generous salaries and top-drawer benefits, then deepen their teams’ engagement with challenging, business-critical projects built around cutting-edge technologies.”
